Come and visit mémoire, Le Labo’s major public exhibition for the 2023-2024 season, on the theme of fallowing. Artists Tania Love, Andreas Krätschmer and Paul Ruban explore the life cycle of a tree in relation to its urban habitat, in a multidisciplinary way.

Come and discover the exhibition featuring artworks by students from the art class of the Lycée français de Toronto, accompanied by artist and teacher Samuel Choisy.

Join us for a talk with artists Murielle Jassinthe and Oana Avasilichoaei, who are currently in cross-residency at Le Labo. We’ll talk poetry, sound art, writing, fallowing… Come and learn more about their reflections and creative process!

We are presenting our cross-residency project in partnership with Les Productions Rhizome for spring 2024, by opening a space for collaboration and research-creation to two multidisciplinary artists: Murielle Jassinthe and Oana Avasilichioaei.

Le Labo joins forces with Festival les Percéides and CinéFranco to offer a documentary film residency in Percé, Gaspésie (Québec) to young filmmakers aged 18 to 30.

Wednesday, April 17 is National Canadian Film Day !
And we can’t wait to explore the creativity, diversity and originality of Canadian filmmakers! On this occasion, we will screen “The Saddest Music in the World” by Guy Maddin.

Joyce Joumaa’s work explained by the artist herself? It’s Thursday April 11 at 6pm at Le Labo and/or Zoom, in partnership with Images Festival. Join us for a drink and a chat about cinema, architecture and political commitment. Don’t miss the screening of her film L’inertie du vide on Friday April 12 at 8pm at Innis Town Hall.

As part of Telefilm Canada’s Talent en vue program, DESIGNATED PARTNERS PANEL, Le Labo will once again be selecting submissions from emerging filmmakers from the Franco-Ontarian community. From now on, the only way to submit an application is by form no later than April 15 at midnight (Eastern Time).
