As their relationship becomes toxic, she is confronted with her family&rsquo;s tormented past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background has-very-light-gray-background-color\">Laura Bergeron<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An honours graduate and recipient of the 2015 Toronto Film School Directing Award, Laura is a screenwriter, director, editor and animator. In 2015, she directed two short documentaries, Entr&rsquo;actes and Benoit and the trees, as well as the experimental film La parade. In 2016, she directed the short Winner Gagnant, selected at the Denver Film Festival in Colorado and a finalist for the First Look International Award. In addition to being selected at the Rendez-vous du cin\u00e9ma qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois in Montreal and the Underground Film Festival in Calgary, Winner Gagnant is now being broadcast by Unis TV. Her short film Lost Cat (2018) was produced thanks to an Ontario Arts Council Media Creation Grant.
