here<\/a><\/p>\nThe Canadian Artists\u2019 Representation\/Le Front des artistes canadiens <\/em>(CARFAC), a national organization focused on the arts, is the voice of Canadian visual artists across the country. This non-profit organization\u2019s goal is to promote visual arts in Canada and to encourage a socio-economic climate opportune for the production of artworks. The CARFAC also conducts research and educational products aimed at accomplishing this goal.<\/p>\nAbout the speaker:<\/strong><\/p>\nEric Lesage, the CARFAC\u2019s francophone representative, will be stopping by Le Labo on his trip to Toronto to give a presentation on issues in artistic practice. The presentation will address author\u2019s rights, droits de suite<\/em> (\u201cright to follow\u201d- a right granted to artists to receive compensation on the resale of their artwork), and compensation rights. It will be an opportunity to learn about aid that is available to artists and the organization\u2019s recent achievements.<\/p>\n\u2014<\/p>\n
FARES \u2013 ACCESSIBILITY POLICY
\nEach workshop has its own fee based on the costs of the workshop.
\nLe Labo acknowledges the financial issues of independent artists and commits
\nto offer one to two spots at the price of $10 for a half day and $15 for a full day workshop.
\nPlease contact us for more information.
\nMembers who would like to benefit from these fares will commit to 2h of volunteer work for every half day workshop.<\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\nMETHOD OF PAYMENT
\nRegistration is confirmed upon payment of the workshop and must be done before the deadline of each workshop.
\nAccepted method of payment are: Cheque, cash and Paypal ($2.50 additional fees). No refund will be made for cancellations by the participant after the registration deadline.<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\nCANCELLATION POLICY
